Vito Mannone headed to Denmark - Turned down Minnesota United
Major League Soccer goalkeeper of 2019 Vito Mannone has joined Danish side Esbjerg fB. The goalkeeper turned down an offer by Minnesota United that would have made him the highest-paid goalkeeper in MLS.
Mannone spent the 2019 MLS season at Minnesota United on loan from English side Reading FC. Minnesota tried to make the deal permanent but could not reach terms with Mannone.
The 31-year-old had desires to return to the Italian Serie A. Instead he will be heading out on loan once again, this time to Denmark's Superligaen, where Esbjerg is trying to avoid relegation this season.
