The San Jose Earthquakes have signed Argentine winger Hernán López from Godoy Cruz in what is a club-record transfer for the Major League Soccer club. Transfermarkt understands that the fee is in the region of $6 million (€5.5m). López has signed a designated player contract until 2026 with club options for 2027 and 2028. According to several reports out of Argentina, Godoy Cruz will share the transfer fee 50/50 with López's academy club River Plate.
